February is officially over and my blog is now two years old! It’s hard to imagine that I started my blog in my dorm room as a junior in college. The journey has been great so far and I’ve learned so much, I cannot wait to see what the future has in store! Besides my two year blogging anniversary, the month of February was kind of blah in regards to income and traffic. I actually spent more than I earned and traffic was just dull. But, if you’re still interested in reading what I earned (and what I spent my money on)… here’s my February 2017 Income & Traffic Report…
INCOME REPORT:
February Income:
Social Fabric – $40
SheKnows Media – $93.52
Etsy: Designs by Hayle – $33.70
Total: $167.22
February Expenses:
Product Purchase: – $8.99
Patreon – $3.00
Boardbooster – $5.00
Etsy Shop Fees – $2.85
Bose Headphones – $345.99
Total: $360.83
Total Profit: -$193.61
Notes:
It’s officially the first month that I’ve spent more than I’ve earned. Not to say that this is good, but I did enjoy treating myself to a nice pair of noise canceling headphones. I can justify buying these because now I can focus on writing and editing more for my blog and youtube channel without being distracted by other people in my apartment (aka Sean). Plus, the only other big purchase that I’ve made with my blog money was my camera back in September. Anything I earn, I plan on reinvesting in my blog. So it’s a win-win!
TRAFFIC REPORT:
February
Traffic definitely slowed down in February and didn’t come close to the numbers that I had gotten in January. But I was pleased that I was able to hit at least 15,000 pageviews. My goal for March is 30,000 pageviews (roughly 1,000 a day). Which I think is quite doable if I put my mind to it.
