Coronavirus Diary: Day 10

This is a reflection of my own personal experience as a twenty-something living in Idaho – one of the last states to get their first confirmed case of COVID-19. Please listen to the national, state, and local guidelines that are being communicated in your area.

Wednesday, March 25th

I actually put on a nice shirt today instead of the “free t-shirts from college” that I’ve been wearing the last week or so. It was nice to wear “normal” clothes and made me feel a bit put together and not so lazy. haha!

During the lunch hour we took Sean’s car for a spin around the local neighborhoods; looking at houses and apartments. I’m worried about the car batteries as we haven’t gone anywhere in over a week now.

Around 1:30 this afternoon the Governor of Idaho officially announced a Stay At Home order for the entire state as we’re nearing our 100th positive case of COVID-19. I’m happy that this is finally in place, but a bit disappointed that it’s taken this long.

Per my usual evening routine, I FaceTimed my mom for a bit and then exercised. I decided to switch up my workout (I was getting a bit bored to be honest) and went for an Upper Body Strength workout from the new FIERCE at Home program by Chontel Duncan. I plan to continue the PWR at Home program but loved the quick change of pace of the FIERCE workout.

Sean and I started watching Love is Blind on Netflix last night and OMG it’s sooo good! We watched two more episodes tonight and I’m so intrigued to see who stays together!

Today’s Activities:

  • Facetime Mom
  • Workout (SWEAT)
  • Freelance Work
  • Watch Netflix

Now that we have an official stay at home order it’s becoming a bit more real that this virus is in my city. I can thankfully say no one in Idaho at been killed by it yet; I hope it stays this way.

Stay healthy friends,
Hayle
