Coronavirus Diary: Day 5

This is a reflection of my own personal experience as a twenty-something living in Idaho – one of the last states to get their first confirmed case of COVID-19. Please listen to the national, state, and local guidelines that are being communicated in your area.

Friday, March 20th

I’ve officially worked from home for an entire week! Day 5 went pretty well, although I can tell I’m starting to go a bit stir crazy (follow along on Instagram Stories). I ended up calling it a day about an hour early.

Since most of the food and drink establishments are closed for dine-in, they’ve started offering curbside pickup and delivery. This means we can now get local beer and wine delivered to our door! Needless to say, we definitely placed an order. Sean picked out some beer and I picked out some wine slushies!

While we waited for our alcohol delivery (just typing that is hilarious) I jumped straight into a workout – today is LEG DAY! We then went on a brief walk around our area and got home just in time to enjoy our beer and wine slushies.

Tonight’s Activities:

  • Enjoy our beer/wine delivery
  • Watch the very first Star Wars movie
  • Start playing Animal Crossing on the Switch

Our weekend is off to a good start! Hopefully, the next two days go by smoothly.

Take care and stay home,
Hayle
